Reading Assistance

Enlarging character size

On all the pages of our website, you can enlarge the character size.
If you are on PC, use the CTRL + + key combination to enlarge the size of the characters. The CTRL + - key combination allows you to reduce the size of the characters. If you press successively on these buttons you can increase or decrease the size of the characters.
Also note that the CTRL + 0 key combination (the "zero" number) allows you to revert to the default text size.
For Mac users, you just need to follow the same steps as above by replacing the CTRL key with the CMD key to get the same results.

Help with navigation

Quick access menu (shortcut links)

When navigating using the keyboard, a quick access menu enables you to access the main areas of the pages or other pages rapidly. This menu takes you to:

  • The main content of the page,
  • The navigation menu,
  • The search engine.

Main Logo

On all the pages, the main logo allows users, in just one click, to access to ENS de Lyon main website (www.ens-lyon.fr). Under the logo is a direct link to the home page of the current site.

Browse Menu

The main navigation menu enables users to access the sections and the main pages of the site.

On some pages, you can access subtopics and their contents through a secondary navigation menu.

Breadcrumb trail

On all pages of the website with the exception of the home page, a breadcrumb trail is displayed at the top of the main content, showing you where you are on the website’s tree structure.

It tells you the path from the home page to the current page and also allows you to go back to the tree structure through links.

Site Map

The Site Map is available on all pages of the site via a link in the footer. This site map gives you an overall view of the site's tree structure and helps go directly to the page or topic of your choice.

Keyboard Navigation

This site has been designed to allow keyboard navigation on all pages. In most cases, you just have to tap the TAB key on your keyboard to navigate successively from one clickable item to another clickable item on the page. If you want to go back in the opposite direction, use the SHIFT + TAB key combination.

Defender of Rights

If you encounter an accessibility problem stopping you from accessing site content or features, you report it and you fail to receive a swift response from us, you are entitled to address your complaint or officially refer the matter to the Defender of Rights. There are several means to do that:
