The Physics Department at ENS Lyon offers top-level training in physics research through the SDM program, which includes the L3 Bachelor's degree and the two Master's degrees (M1 and M2). It also provides training for the teaching profession, with preparation for the physics option of the agrégation de Sciences Physiques competitive examination. Students are recruited on the basis of a competitive examination and their academic record, and are offered personalized courses within the ENS de Lyon diploma: long research projects, physics-engineering double degrees, complementary training, etc. The department is supported by a team of teacher-researchers and researchers from ENS de Lyon and Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1 laboratories.
