How did you choose your programme in Physics ?

I took advantage of the great diversity of teaching to quickly orient myself towards a very experimental course (lots of practical work, experimental internships,...). I then went to Paris for an M2, more specialized in fluid mechanics/soft matter. The SdM course had given me a solid basis in physics which allowed me to approach the M2 and the thesis with serenity.

Message and advice to the current and forthcoming students

The proximity of the physics laboratory makes it easy to find out about the world of academic research, and the researchers there are good advisors for asking for contacts for an internship abroad, for a thesis laboratory, etc. You should not hesitate to ask about industrial research, even if you hear about the academic world when you are at the ENS. A Cifre thesis like the one I did is a very good way to discover this world.
