How did you choose your programme in Physics ?

I entered the ENS Lyon with the idea of making a career in research. Above all, I built my career by trying to enjoy what I was doing. I discovered biophysics during my L3 in biosciences and the research internship that followed. I understood that to be able to continue in this field I had to go through physics, hence the course that followed in matter sciences. Once in the Master SDM, I realized that it was largely the "complex systems" component that interested me in biophysics, and I chose my subjects accordingly. At the end of my 4 years at ENS Lyon, I realized that I wanted to explore other avenues than research. Being attracted by the diversity of missions and the "public service" dimension of a career in administration, I joined the Corps des Mines.
