How did you choose your programme in Physics ?

I tried a little bit of everything until the beginning of the M2, when I finally understood the type of physics that really interested me. So it's in M2 that I really specialized in some disciplines (soft matter, hydrodynamics, statistical physics).

Message and advice to the current and forthcoming students

Don't hesitate to explore the different themes offered to you in this very complete training and to do internships on various themes. When I entered the ENS Lyon I thought I was going to focus on the extremely small with quantum mechanics and particle physics, but thanks to the research internships I did I realized that I didn't really like these themes, unlike the more macroscopic physics. Don't prejudge anything and discover!
